The family of former Penn State coach Joe Paterno wants the school to appeal the sanctions leveled against them by the NCAA. The lawyer for the family wrote a letter to the organization stating that disciplining the school had been handled in a ‘fundamentally inappropriate and unprecedented manner.’
The NCAA wasted no time in responding to the request from the Paternos. This is a tweet from NCAA vice president of communications Bob Williams:
Penn State sanctions are not subject to appeal.
