Last season, the Oklahoma Sooners won the Big 12 and that provided a springboard for them to appear in the College Football Playoff. With no conference championship game (yet), the league is constantly faced with the need to impress the playoff committee. Who will win the Big 12 this year, and will that team really be “one true champion”? Will we see improvement from Texas? Here is what we think.
Big 12 Standings:
- Oklahoma 11-1 (9-0)
- TCU 10-2 (7-2)
- Oklahoma State 10-2 (7-2)
- Texas 8-4 (6-3)
- West Virginia 8-4 (5-4)
- Baylor 7-5 (4-5)
- Kansas State 4-8 (3-6)
- Iowa State 4-8 (2-7)
- Texas Tech 3-9 (1-8)
- Kansas 1-11 (0-9)
Oklahoma will win the league by virtue of having the best conference record.
